Sponsoring DrupalCamp Berlin 2011
19 Sep. 2011
Propeople is honored to support the Drupal community in Germany and to be a Gold sponsor for the DrupalCamp Berlin 2011.
Propeople had a session room and has provided an information desk in the lounge, so everyone socializing could talk, share and gain information about Drupal.
Ivo Radulovski, the Community Manager at Propeople, was one of the visionaries debating about the future of Drupal in Germany. Ivo pointed out that besides the strong technical aspect, the business side of Drupal is also gaining traction and lots of interest. Additionally, there were many sessions and discussions about Drupal business perspectives and how to strengthen Drupal’s position in the market.
There were many interesting sessions by topics grouped in different rooms, so it was easy to choose and to stay on track with a specific topic of interest. In his keynote, Johannes Loxen talked about the future challenges of open source in general and of Drupal in particular, which lays in balancing the act of finding the right mixture of openness and freedom on the one hand and restricting rules and organization on the other hand.
Overall, it’s quite an easy equation: 2 days + 400 people + over 50 sessions + Drupal enthusiasm = lots of fun. We really enjoyed Drupal City, and would like to say thanks to the organizers and all the people that made it happen!
